Philosophy of Satan in the Marrow of my Bones!

That's what another anonymous blogger called me yesterday when I pointed out that his belief of and support of polygamy, was blatant hypocrisy in light of his agressive support to ban Gay Marriage. When he disagreed and called one a peversion and the other ordained of God, I pointed out that the man who started the version of polygamy he supported, used it to marry 14 year old girls with the promise that such a union would save their souls and their families, and also the wives of other men (and the other men were still living). Perhaps he was upset that I pointed out that the modern terms for such relationships are pedophillia and adultery.

Anyway, I've posted a little on my other blog this week about the gay marriage issue, and also on Facebook which got a grand response from my loving and Christlike sister-in-law. I usually reserve those places for non political or religious topics, but I felt this was important and that blog generally gets more traffic. If you would like to view it, click here. If you want to be my facebook buddy, just drop me a note, and I'll send you details on how to find me - I have a unique name (not Urban Koda), so I'm pretty easy to find.

Anyway, I think it's regrettable that Prop 8 passed, but I'm not a Californian, and it was the voice of the people, no matter how thin the margin was. I'm not a huge fan of the current protests about it, although the Church they are being directed at asked for it.

My approach now will be to continue to research the issue, solidify my opinions and speak to those who may be receptive to it, so that hopefully should the issue come back in the future, justice may be served and the Constitution of the United States of America can be equally and fairly applied.

  1. The philosophy of Satan in the marrow of your bones. Wow! Ok, I laughed out loud when I read that, and I kind of would be proud to have someone say that to me. Is that wrong? I don't know if you found it as amusing, but I'd be gleeful if someone said that to me. Shows you how much of a heathen I am.

I mean, one thing is having differing religious beliefs and disagreeing, and one thing is a medieval accusation like this one.

  2. Unless you're laughing at my expense, which I somewhat doubt, I don't think that makes it wrong at all. In fact I've been laughing about it, since it happened...

Seriously the guy that did that was defending a adulturous, bigamous, pedofile while saying that homosexual marriage was a peversion that he couldn't allow in his society.

I wear it as a badge of honor!! I've wondered about starting a new blog with it as the main caption (Except I have too many blogs already), or perhaps a line of T-Shirts, buttons, maybe even an "I voted for Obama too" line thrown in for good measure to, in order to really get the conservative blood boiling. Hmmmm....

  3. Yes, I think being told that you have the philosophy of Satan in the marrow of your bones means you're doing something right ;-)

I, too, am very disappointed that Prop. 8 passed. However, I'm very happy that Prop. 2 passed -- at least now our inhumanity toward God's creatures will be somewhat tempered.

  4. You are correct, UK, I was not laughing at you at all, but rather at the absurd accusation. My ex once told me that my selfishness knows no bounds, and I've been laughing about that ever since, but you win.

I'll have a couple of those buttons and a t-shirt, if I may.
