What I would do...

I bitched a little yesterday about the various political organizations and how they've screwed up the economy. I'm one who believes that if you want to whine about something, you should offer a better solution.

If I may offer my solution for tax cuts...

I think tax cuts are a good thing. I also support taxes though, since it's part of my responsibility of being a citizen. For my taxes I get roads, I get emergency services and a host of other benefits.

There's a line between prudent government spending and fiscally irresponsible government spending. All too often though, there is too much of the second and not enough of the first.

If you're a politician though, and you want to give tax cuts, perhaps let me offer a novel idea on how to do this.

First, find way to limit the frivolous spending. Then when tax income starts to exceed expenditures, split the difference. Use half to start paying down the deficit, and with the other half, offer the people who pay the bills a tax break.

Republicans like offering tax breaks, they just never figure out how to pay for them. And then for some reason they think tax breaks equal more disposable income for them?!?!? So they ramp up spending, like the crack whores they are... Seriously, spending under Reagan and Bush increased by 25% - more so than under any other president in recent history. Republicans are the fiscally conservative party?!?! Really?!?!
