Question

So things are moving along nicely with the new blog ideas I'm working on. I've mentioned taking a more positive direction, and I'm working on a new platform to take care of that.

I've got some idea's I wanted to float by y'all though...

First, the new platform I'm moving to will allow me to make this blog more of a community based site, than simply what I have here.

I've been toying with the idea, of inviting some, and allowing others to help put together the content.

Do I have any readers out there who might like the option to participate in something like this?

I do have a few ideas of readers who I would like to invite to participate, but I wonder about others.

Perhaps I should share the second part of my question as you consider that.

Here's what I see as the objective for the blog... For a long time it's been about my disillusionment with and subsequent journey out of Mormonism. With the exception of a couple of legal formalities, all of which hinge on parts of my life over which I have minimal control, I think I'm about done with that journey. At least for now.

The time has come to put the past behind, and start looking at the now, and what is to come. I've discovered an amazing freedom, and marvelous theories and philosophies I would like to explore more...

Below are some topics I would like to tackle:

1. Evolutionary theory and the world around us.
I grew up really close to a place called the Sterkfontein Caves in South Africa. It has been the site where some pivotal remains have been found, believed to be very closely related to the branch in the evolutionary tree where the Australopithecus and Homo genuses diverged. In addition I've become fascinated with genetics, DNA, and the simple wonder that it the science of life.

2. Environmentalism.
I'm not into the crazy bio-terrorist crap, but I do believe that we share a very important responsibility to take care of our surroundings. As I pursue a more minimalist lifestyle, I'd also like to investigate ways in which I can minimize my impact. Sometimes the perceived responsible things to do, aren't necessarily the best in the long run, but hopefully I can find that out. And being on a limited budget, I'm very interested in the small changes I can make that will have lasting effects.

3. Philosophy.
There are lots of excellent thinkers out there, past, present and future. From the great minds behind Eastern Philosophy and systems like Taoism, Buddhism and that kind of thing to people who I hear modern quotes from which resonate with me, and make me want to find out more about them. I feel the need to expand my intellect and discovery more about who we are.

4. Social Justice.

I know, I know... Run like hell - right? We've made great leaps forward in recent years in taking care of each other, and enhancing the human experience for those who we share it with. I'd like to look what we can do to continue that trend, specifically, what can I do to fulfill my part.

There may be other things too, but that's the basic idea I'm starting with.

Are there other topics you would like to see, would you like to contribute to the discussion, in a way other than commenting, and are there any other online community type interactions which you think would be beneficial for everyone.
